When you use TurboGears to generate the internals of a remotely sourced contentpane in Dojo you may run into problems on IE. The problem revolves around the response header from TurboGears having a ; charset=UTF-8 at the end of the mimetype. If you comment out the line in TurboGears that generates this, everything continues to function and works in IE too.
The code is in turbogears/view/base.py. Comment out this line:
content_type += '; charset=' + charset
This is a hack and not the right solution, but it does work.
